Well it`s a seahorse really. It was a superquick one, I already had the model, but wanted to try a more translucent, jelly like approach for the body - she`s probably really young.

Modeled in max, textures in photoshop and mudbox - however with this setup the diffuse texture is barely visible, and rendered in Vray

Didn`t go for photorealism in this case, it`s more like a studio setup with just a plain black background and only one light source from the back emphasizing the translucency of the body

cheers

A portrait of my grandfather

This is my grandfather. He`s a super nice person. He`s 96 already but this image shows him fairly younger. Making a portrait of him was a part of a bigger project that I might or might not finish later, but for now here`s this portrait.
Modeling and render in MAX with Vray, and I used Zbrush for sculpting + Combustion for post.

cheers
Done in Max, rendered with Vray, post in combustion.

Bald Parrot Portrait

I had a parrot once and he really liked to get his neck scratched. Only when you scratch a parrot you realize that under their nice feathers they have a thin chicken-neck and really wrinkled skin, so bald, they probably look like old people. That`s where the idea for this image came from.

Modeled in MAX, detailed in Zbrush, some textures in Photoshop and post in Combustion. Rendered in mental ray.
